Dave Blume (Partner, Roseville Office) was recently appointed to a state board by Gov. Mark Dayton. Blume, an electrical engineer, was appointed to the Board of Architecture, Engineering, Land Surveying, Landscape Architecture, Geoscience, and Interior Design. Dave will serve a four-year term.
“I’m very excited to embark on this new venture in my career,” said Dave.
The Board exists to regulate the practice of architecture, engineering, land surveying, landscape architecture, geoscience and interior design and to protect the health, safety and welfare of the citizens of Minnesota. Appointment to the Board requires fulfillment of a commitment to protect the health, safety, and welfare of the public. Therefore, as a Board member, the primary concern is to determine that the practice of the professions is properly regulated and the consumer is appropriately protected by revising statutes and regulations and developing policies and rules.
The Board is composed of 21 volunteer members including five engineers, three architects, two land surveyors, two landscape architects, two certified interior designers, two geoscientists, and five public members. Board members are appointed by the Governor for four-year terms.
