G&M Raises More Than $2,400 for Minnesota Leukemia & Lymphoma Society

G&M Spikes Competition at ACEC Volleyball Tournament

The Gausman & Moore volleyball team hoisted the first place trophy in the air and celebrated their success at the 10th annual “Battle on the Beach” volleyball tournament. The only problem was the G&M team placed fifth. But still, it was a great picture.

G&M Helps Sponsor Elementary School Fundraiser

When students at Oak View Elementary in Maple Grove, MN decided to brave the hot, humid weather to raise money for their school, Gausman & Moore was happy to help them reach their goal. On Sept. 14 Oak View had its “Fun Run” fundraiser, with students raising money by running sponsored laps on the school grounds. The goal of the Oak View Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) was to raise $15,000. That goal was exceeded, and then some, with the students raising more than $16,000. United Church of Christ – Robbinsdale, MN

United Church of Christ has been a place of worship for more than 100 years, with 50 years occupying space in Robbinsdale, MN. This facility was in need of some system upgrades. Working with Perry Bolin Architecture, the Gausman & Moore team provided MEP engineering services to provide a renovated worship space that is far more efficient. A primary goal involved providing cooling to the worship space, classrooms and offices.

Bruce Anderson Featured in Duluth News Tribune Article

The Duluth News Tribune published an article on July 20 about Seed of Abraham Motorcycle Club in Duluth that combines a love of riding with reaching people in need. One of the club’s members is Bruce Anderson (Electrical Engineering), who works in Gausman & Moore’s Duluth office. Bruce was quoted in the article and has been a member of the club since 2014.

The Outlook of STEM Programs for Kids

STEM, or science, technology, engineering, and math, is a booming industry in the world that is only getting larger year after year. STEM programs and applications are responsible for the technology we have today. Without the study of STEM, we would not have the sustainable energy sources, the medical devices used in hospitals worldwide, or even the fuel-efficient cars developed to help improve fuel emissions. The more STEM is developed and nourished the better our outlook in the world is, and that begins with kids.

Ground Broken for Great River Landing Housing Facility

A new housing facility for people who have experience homelessness, unemployment and incarceration is now under construction. Great River Landing, the apartment complex in Minneapolis, celebrated its groundbreaking on May 3. Gausman & Moore provided mechanical and electrical design engineering services, while working closely 4RM+ULA, for the $12 million project.

Optimist International is an organization committed to spreading a message of hope and positivity. This has led to the creation of local Optimist Clubs throughout the country, including the Roseville Area Optimist Club near Gausman & Moore’s Roseville, MN office. The club recently recognized its newest member, the 100th person in the club – G&M President Ed Studniski.

Dave Blume Presents Mugs to All G&M Employees

Dave Blume (Partner, Roseville Office) recently celebrated his 25th anniversary at Gausman & Moore. An Electrical Engineer and head of the company’s Electrical Department, Dave wanted to commemorate his career at G&M by presenting a gift to all of his coworkers. As a lover and creator of handmade items, Dave had ceramic mugs made for every staff member. Each mug is personalized and features the G&M logo.

Blake Guither (PE, BEMP, LEED AP BD+C) will give the presentation “The Future of Mechanical Equipment Families” at Midwest University 2018. A Mechanical Engineer with 10+ years of experience at Gausman & Moore, Blake is responsible with all aspects of HVAC, plumbing and fire protection design for commercial buildings.

On Feb. 9 Oak View hosted the first-ever Husky Glow Run, the culmination of a two-week event that served as both a fundraiser and learning experience. Gausman & Moore was proud to help sponsor the event for the school where Matt Tisdell’s (Electrical Engineering, Roseville office) two daughters attend. G&M’s contribution helped pay for the T-shirts that every student received and wore during the fun run.
