Each building included core areas consisting of open office/administration areas, classrooms with operable partition walls, a common suite with individual offices and restroom, SIPRNET room, restrooms with shower facilities and mechanical/electrical/telecomm rooms to support the function of the facility.

For fire protection, a wet pipe sprinkler system was provided for each building, along with three fire protection zones in each building. High-efficiency natural gas-fired storage type water heaters were also installed.

High-efficiency condensing natural gas-fired boilers were installed in each Battalion Headquarters building, as well as an efficient air-cooled rotary screw type water chiller.

Site development of the project included installing new utilities, installing new privately-owned vehicle (POV) parking with site amenities and tree preservation. Utilities included connections for water (domestic and fire protection), sanitary sewer, natural gas, propane, and power.

The project achieved LEED Silver certification.
