Finding new and innovative methods for satisfying and exceeding the needs of our clients is a source of pride at Gausman & Moore. One example of this commitment to innovation is our use of Revit, which increases productivity and improves communication and coordination among architects and engineers. With Revit, our highly experienced team of design engineers efficiently produces documents quickly and accurately, saving our clients valuable time and expense.

As an enhancement of Autodesk Revit, Gausman & Moore developed the Mechanical Electrical Plumbing Productivity Pack (MEP3). This initiative was accomplished by the ongoing efforts of Blake Guither (Mechanical Engineer) and Paul Dischinger (Mechanical Designer), who worked closely with Cad Technology Center (CTC) and LHB Inc. According to Blake, “This is going to blow people away.”

Blake Guither highlighted the following benefits of the new MEP3:

  • Shared MEP Model Ready – One Model designed to streamline Mechanical and Electrical design
  • Optimization of Shared Parameter File – consolidation of existing shared parameters for better organization and easier user experience
  • Includes industry first Articulated Cartesian Arm Family for hosting connectors
  • Better organization of family browser by combining families together
  • Expanded content library for Air Terminals - Smart Air Terminals Families
  • Expanded content library for plumbing fixtures & drains
  • Expanded Family Groups that now include Annotations
  • Expanded Content library for Mechanical Equipment - now includes many arrangements of RTU’s, DOAS, and ERVs to name a few
  • Includes Mechanical Equipment Configurator Family – with preconfigured Articulated Cartesian Arms and all equations in place to become any piece of mechanical equipment
  • Formula Integration across all content

The MEP3 offers more family content than the previous Mechanical Productivity Pack (MPP), while providing greater flexibility and efficiency for it users when designing mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems. Features of the new MEP3 include the following:
