Paul D. Haslach

Position/Role: Partner / Mechanical Engineer, Roseville, MN

Contact: phaslach@gausman.com

Education and experience: Paul has a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, MN. He started working for Gausman & Moore as his first position after graduating with my Engineering Degree. Paul has been with Gausman & Moore for 27 years.

What’s your favorite part of the job? “Whether it is determining how the mechanical system in a building operates or designing a system to meet the special conditions of a project, the challenge of “solving the puzzle” is what I enjoy most about my job.”

What do you like to do when you’re not working? “My primary passion outside of the workplace is riding my motorcycle. My wife (Lynn) and I spend many of our vacations traveling the backroads of this beautiful country enjoying the scenery and meeting people and seeing places you only see by getting off the interstates and highways. Our winter activity is downhill skiing and as a family with our three kids (Lydia, Corynne and Brandon) carry on the tradition of family ski trips to the Rocky Mountains that started with my grandparents.”

Fun fact: Paul has always loved playing music. He began playing piano and percussion in grade school and gravitated to the non-typical percussion instruments (timpani and xylophone) through college. Then he took up the drum set, playing in a church band during his 12 years in Portland, OR. In 2014 Paul started teaching himself guitar, with the help of an internet site. He continues to keep learning and playing.

Exceptional client service, intelligent engineering.
